Boot, I don't think this is a sell-off, and I don't think Cannacord and Questrade being on the selling end is a problem either. FGD has news, as you saw and posted. A lot of people might just say the price was "manipulated" downward in order to scoop up a few before the news. But so few were scooped up it wouldn't be worth the effort. The volume was too low, and the volume at 4.5 cents, etc. was even lower of course. And the volume for the day so far is not extraordinary anyhow. I account for 12 per cent of the trades today anyway (but I'm through TD) and I was BUYING (yes, somebody sold to me, too) so it's not "big holders" selling out or anything or even "brokers" doing the selling, unless we did 4 million shares or something. It's just little people like me and you buying and selling, and in my case, before news.
Some people say news always leaks, so maybe people were worried about the news, but I can't see that, because a few days ago, those people thought FGD was worth 6 cents, 7 cents, 8 cents even. So why sell at 4.5? It is more likely the price was pushed down somehow (I have no idea how, but you hear about it all the time), maybe to get a few shares, and maybe so the news would look like it had a positive effect? I don't know, I'm just saying, without news, the share price was doing okay. But this morning it fell, but now it's doing okay again.
I still like FGD, and I think it's going to do okay, but it's always going to do fine for people who buy when it hits the lows and sell a few hours or a few days later, and the stock goes back to people who want to hold longer, and they are steadier owners than some of us, and the company should be in good shape with this new investment (and management?).
