I think I can answer one question for you, I'll leave it to BF to answer the rest of your ??. FGOC is the Firstgold ticker symbol for trading the stock in the USA on the OTC (Over The Counter) exchange, sometimes referred to as the "Pink Sheets".

FGD is the Firstgold ticker symbol for trading the stock in Canada on the Toronto Stock Exchange or TSX. And yes they are one in the same company.

I'm guessing you can buy FGOC on the OTC boards, however I can't buy the stock through my broker because they aren't listing the stock any longer, although I could still sell the shares I hold through my broker.
