Have been told that Spice has now been put into Administration – can anyone verify. If true that will make 3 members of the Group - Futuremedia, Button and now Spice. At best this sounds like incompetence at worst trading when insolvent which can have some serious consequences in the UK.

We should not forget that Cannes and Dubai were great successes - what happened to the profit and cash flows?

On reviewing earlier postings there seems to be a belief that Button Group Ltd continued to trade as Spice (.... Designs & Events). The fact that Spice is going into Administration indicates that it must be a separate company – Companies House shows that there are 3 “Spice” companies which have all been dormant up to June 30, 2008 ie pre CVA - not surprising there are no filings after that date. This raises serious questions as to what arrangements were put in place between Button and Spice and were they part of the CVA.

There is also the suggestion that Futuremedia is trading as Advantage. On enquiry I believe that this is also a separate company – Advantage Group Ltd exists but its business description does not currently match that of Futuremedia however that does not mean anything. Question – What is Advantage’s relationship with Futuremedia???

Nobody at the company is keen to talk about Spice or Futuremedia / Advantage!!!!

In the absence of any statements from the company this smells. It is also noted that there has been no pronouncement from the Administrator who may well be unaware of what has been going on – how can subsidiaries of a company that is the subject of a CVA not be part of those arrangements or at least explain to suppliers!!

Any comments would be welcome
