Montreal, February 5, 2007 – Haemacure Corporation (TSX : HAE), a Montreal-based biotechnology company, announced today that Mr. Joseph Galli was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the corporation, effective February 1, 2007.  Mr Galli is also Chairman of the Board of Haemacure and will hold both offices.  Mr. Galli will be based in Montreal.

Mr. Marc Paquin will continue to hold the office of President and to serve as a director of Haemacure.

Mr. Galli enjoys more than 20 years of experience in financing, mergers and acquisitions and restructuring and will work closely with Mr. Paquin in developing and implementing Haemacure’s business development strategy.

Haemacure Corporation is a Canadian company in development stage and is specialized in the development of innovative biological adhesives, biomaterials and surgical devices for the acute surgical wound care market.  It also operates offices in Sarasota, Florida through a wholly-owned subsidiary.  The Corporation is traded under stock symbol HAE on the TSX.
