VAL-D'OR, QC, April 9 - Hinterland Metals Inc. (TSXV:HMI) is pleased to report the third batch of PGE assay results from a drill program that was completed from mid-December 2007 to early March 2008 on the Ebay property located 35km southeast of Matagami in the Abitibi region of Quebec.

This batch of assays includes results from holes EB08-24 to 26. It also includes results for additional sampling done in holes EB07-17 and 22. The following platinum-palladium bearing intervals were intersected as follows:

Assay results are pending for holes EB07-27 to EB08-37 and they will be released in batches as they are received.

The analytical results stated in this press release were determined at Laboratoire Expert Inc. (“Expert”) in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec by fire assay, DCP-MS technique. Expert is not accredited but it is independent of Hinterland, maintains an internal quality control program and participates annually in CANMET round-robin proficiency testing. Also, Hinterland inserts blanks, standards and duplicates according to an independently designed and monitored QAQC program. Mark Fekete, P.Geo is the designated “qualified person” as defined in Section 1.2 in and for the purposes of National Instrument 43-101 responsible for the preparation of this release.
