Mr. Fekete has worked throughout Canada during his 25 year career in the mineral exploration business. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of British Columbia (1986) and is a Professional Geologist registered with the Order of Geologists of Quebec. He brings experience and expertise ranging from grassroots prospecting to advanced project management to corporate development. He has a proven ability to recognize exploration targets of high potential and convert them into successful projects. In 1999 he co-founded Hinterland as a private prospecting syndicate and has successfully advanced it to a publicly traded exploration company with a strong property portfolio and several active projects.
Mr. Fekete holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Dalhousie University (1993) and a Law Degree from the University of New Brunswick (1995). He is a partner at the law firm of Austring, Fendrick, Fairman and Parkkari in Yukon where he practices mining, corporate and securities law, and advises a wide variety of both public and private companies. He is currently President and Director of True North Gems Inc., an exploration company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange with coloured gemstone projects in Yukon, Baffin Island
and Greenland.
Mr. Kiernicki has 23 years experience in mineral exploration contracting and
project management. As a co-founder of Hinterland, he was instrumental in
assembling its current property portfolio.
Mr. Smith brings over 20 years of experience successfully exploring, developing and operating North American base and precious metal mining projects. Between 1985 and 1998, Mr. Smith worked for Aurizon Mines Ltd. and rose through the corporate ranks from a frontline supervisory role to Vice President of Exploration. He was the co-recipient of the 1994 "Mining Entrepreneur of the Year Award" presented by the Quebec Prospector's Association for his work overseeing the exploration and development of the
Beaufor Gold Project. He is a co-founder and currently Chairman and CEO of True North Gems Inc. and also serves as a Director of Canaco Resources Inc. Mr. Smith holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Waterloo and is a Professional Geologist registered with Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia.
Mr. Thiersch is an exploration geologist with twenty years experience in mineral exploration, specializing mainly in epithermal and porphyry related gold. He graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science, and completed a Master of Science at McGill University in 1993. During his career he has worked in B.C., Yukon and the N.W.T., as well as Central and South America. He is currently Vice-President and Director of Fortuna Ventures Inc., a TSX Venture Exchange junior mining company focused on acquiring and developing silver-gold assets in Peru
and Mexico. Mr. Thiersch is registered as a Professional Geologist with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia.
Ms Martin is a chartered accountant with 17 years of experience in several public corporations. She holds a bachelor degree in accounting from HEC Montreal (1988). From 1988 to 2004 she has held several positions in the accounting field and in the operational aspects of several companies including Price Waterhouse, Domtar Inc., Unisource Canada, Inc. and Molson Canada. Since 2004, she has supported the financial reporting of several public companies in the mineral exploration business. She is currently the Chief Financial Officer for Melkior Resources Inc.
