NEWS - Intertainment Media To Launch Ad Based Free VOIP Platform

New Technology Brings Free Ad Based Phone To The College and University Market

TORONTO, July 23, 2007 – Intertainment Media Inc. ("Intertainment” or the "Company") (TSXV: INT) announced that it has established a marketing services and technology relationship with Itibiti Inc. (www.itibiti.com), the developer of a revolutionary new interactive video ad based VOIP (Voice Over IP) technology that allows users to send and receive free calls via their laptop or desktop computer.   In return for using the free service, users receive banner and interactive ads, as well as video content right to their online “soft phone”.

The system will use Intertainment’s video player and ad based technology platform.  These systems have been successfully deployed through the company’s wholly owned Eye Rock Digital Network (www.eyerockdigital.com) with over 110 million videos viewed since December 2006, and is scheduled to launch with Trooker.com later this year.

Intertainment and Itibiti are developing one-to-one applications initially positioned to the College and University marketplace that will allow for geo-targeting and demographic marketing opportunities with the ability to customize the interface, and to push video and advertising to a user’s individual VOIP phone.

Intertainment will provide marketing and distribution services for Itibiti.com and will share in the revenue derived from the advertising, sponsorship and promotional programs.  Intertainment is also providing technical development services for the integration of the communications technology and marketing systems.

“This platform allows Intertainment to provide a true “push” based system for advertising directly on a primary communication device.  Consumers have taken well to free VOIP based programs, and companies like Skype have had tremendous growth and valuation.  The ad and video based system allows the group to offset the costs of the service through the delivery of advertising services, making it a revenue model in combination with a user acquisition tool,” said Mr. David Lucatch, President and CEO of Intertainment Media Inc.

The new advertising based platform, to be launched in September, will provide consumers with a full-featured phone on their desktop and allow them to receive free communication services.  Users will have completely free computer-to-computer (peer to peer) services and traditional features, including access to local and long distance calling.  Add on communication features will be available and can be “earned” through participation programs.  The product is not positioned as a replacement for a primary telephone product and emergency service.

“We are very excited to be working with Intertainment.  Their expertise in delivering consumer driven, value based propositions and knowledge of the advertising technologies is a perfect compliment to our communications technologies,” said Mr. Ron Walker, President of Itibiti Inc.

The entire desktop application can be updated at the user end to allow for new marketing programs, skins and features to be added automatically.  The sophistication of the application allows the audio portion to automatically be muted during user calling activity.
