I've wondered if the purpose of Vegas is to look for FOLLOW ON funding, maybe after announcing the imminent or  committed to commencement of initial drilling.  If enough to start was in hand, it might make sense to hold an announcement to coincide with such an event / opportunity as Vegas may present.
