For that matter, some producing mines are now closing. Any company that is still around in two years may have support even without an operating mine. The fly by night juniors will crash and disappear. Those left standing with decent prospects may get investors. Such are the vagaries of the market. I've prospered in the resource sector. Cash is a position too.

With regard to #'s 1, 2 and 3. a lot of companies are in the same boat.

The banker's know what they've done and cannot even trust themselves. Hang a few in the town square and the trust will return.
