Omagine...the way I see it.

All, I'm amazed that "D-Day" is less than a week away and there is no chatter or volume.

Here's the reason why I'm long this and will stick around for another week, probably buying some more.

-Oman has a strong balance sheet. The best in the gulf region as opposed to Dubai, etc.

-The government is backing this project. Investing alongside the royal family is not shabby.

-Oil will go higher, driving money and investors back to this region. The dollar will tank as OUR balance sheet sucks. This will drive money back into commodities again.

Therefore, while the economic climate does stink, we have a project that looks like it can get funding despite the global turmoil, is well positioned in a stable, wealthy country, has government backing and will be a long term success story. Assuming that next week brings a positive announcement, this will be one of the few 2009 winners in my book and I'm sticking with it.

That being said, if they disappoint me next week, see ya later. Don't bet the farm on this one.
