Oman is a country. Actually it's a Sultanate meaning it is run by the ruling Sultan. It shares the southern bourder of Saudi Arabia. Dubai is one of the 25 Emirates of the UAE (United Arab Emirates) and on about 4 hours drive from Muskat the capital of OMAN.
Not bad for a Canadian EH! Actually I worked in Oman and actually sunbath on the beach wher this developmewnt is going to be built. Let me tell you it's a beautiful long flat sandy beach that stretches for miles. Let me also tell you that that is a lot of interest in beefing up the economy of Oman since the Sultan Qaboos bin Said over through his father sometime in the Seventies I think.
It's a very beautiful country and a lot freer then Saudi Arabia for us westerners.
