Dear ryman_2000,

Thank you for your inquiry. The definition of junior mining companies can vary among exchanges, but generally it is a company with a market capitalization of between $300 million and $2 billion. The primary role for the majority of juniors is exploration; however it is not uncommon for a small percentage of them may become producers.

Most junior mining companies do not realize revenues from operations during the exploration phase. However, as always there are cases of small cap companies generating revenue via small scale production and/or royalty income.
