Portrush Summer Drilling Program
Vancouver, British Columbia CANADA, June 25, 2008 /FSC/ - Portrush Petroleum Corporation (PSH - TSX Venture, PRRPF - OTCBB), (http://www.portrushpetroleum.com)
Portrush will proceed with a summer drilling program including two additional wells to be drilled to the Vicksburg formation on the Mission River lease. McAlester, the operator, has confirmed production from the #10 well of 560,000 cubic feet of gas and 21 barrels oil/condensate per day.
Current production from the Mission River field is approximately 1.6 million cubic feet of gas and 50 barrels of oil/condensate a day. Portrush's share of the revenue is approximately $60,000 per month.
Based on the success of the latest drilling program, the operator of the Mission River project intends to continue the development of the field with immediate plans to drill two more wells to the Vicksburg formation. Well locations have been selected and site preparation is currently underway.
The Portrush Lenox project, which consists of two oil wells located in the Michigan basin, continues to provide the company with positive cash flow. Portrush, in conjunction with Hadley Resources, is reviewing additional projects in the basin with an emphasis on the southern Ontario region.
Portrush is looking forward to a successful summer drilling program based on the positive results from the drilling program to date.
