TORONTO, ONTARIO -- June 26, 2008 - Cineplex Entertainment (TSX:CGX.UN) is substantially expanding its website, www.cineplex.com, over the next year with added e-commerce initiatives, enhanced functionality and the addition of social media tools to provide more user interaction.

May 2008 traffic which includes page views, unique visits and total visits, is up over 20% versus May 2007. More importantly, online ticketing commerce is up almost 70% due in part to great film product and new online content and promotions. Visitors also have the ability to purchase gift cards with just a few simple clicks.
Future site development has Cineplex Entertainment working with a number of technology partners including Bell Canada (BCE-T) for systems integration and project management solutions and ATG (NASDAQ:ARTG - News), the top ranked e-commerce platform and optimization services provider, for its software and e-commerce functionality solutions and RepeatSeat (TSX VENTURE:RPS - News) will continue to provide online and mobile ticketing services.
As the first step in a multi-phased rollout throughout the balance of the year, the next phases of the website redevelopment will include the launch of social media programs, a targeted online movie and entertainment community within cineplex.com as well as the introduction of a broader e-commerce platform that will make the site more dynamic and interactive.
