Further to below... A couple of other key dates this week:

Feb. 25th: FEB Au futures last trading day

Feb. 27th: MAR Au futures first notice day

We have seen the same pattern in gold price before. Down on 'last trading days' and up on or near 'first noitce days' (i.e. Friday).

Expect wild ride to continue this week IMO.

1. For what it's worth, a number of things are making me suspicious of a takedown coming up, probably (IMO) just prior to options expiries which occur beginning Feb 24, as follows:

Feb. 24 Comex March gold options expiry
Feb. 24 Comex March silver options expiry

2. Obama has a scheduled State of the Union speech tonight, historically gold gets smashed whenever a president speaks to a national audience.
