An idea of a typical approach to drilling steeply dipping veins is shown on Kodiak's Inclined Long Section diagram ( page 12 of the Golden Mile presentation). After the channel samples are done then the drilling program procceeds in stages to manage risk. The first stage is to drill in multiple locations along strike to a specific depth. Kodiak had spacings along strike of about 30 m and a target depth of about 30-40 meters. I don't know the dates when each well was drilled so they may have had a 50-60 m separation initially and then in-filled to 30 m along strike. If you want to drill deeper then you have to offset on surface from the vein outcrop location to make sure you intersect the zone . You would not drill a vertical well to intersect a deep portion of the zone because the risk of missing it altogether is too high. Check the drill collar locations on the Kodiak diagram against the drilling tables to see what depth the zone was intersected. At this point Sage needs to establish good grades exist, tonnage comes later. I expect we'll see a number of relatively shallow wells targeting about 30 meters depth underneath the surface expression of the wells at an appropriate intersection angle. The dip of the veins may change or a fault may shift them elsewhere so we need to maximize the chance of success on this effort. We'll get killed with dilution if we have to raise more drilling money at the current share price.
