Whole New Board!

posted on Feb 04, 09 05:08PM

News quietly released last week, not through the normal news services, of an entire change in the board and management. Interestingly, the Hagers, who were involved with legal action against the company are now director, president and CEO. I guess when you're conducting legal proceedings and own 49% of the company's shares, you have a fair "bit of pull".

Hopefully, this is it for the "soap opera" and the board can now focus on effectively managing this company once again!

Have a great evening!

SonnenEnergy appoints new board, management

2009-01-26 17:33 ET - News Release

Mr. Hans Hager reports

SONNENENERGY CORP. ANNOUNCES BOARD AND MANAGEMENT CHANGE

SonnenEnergy Corp. has appointed Norman Holesh, David Katz, Jeremias de Klerk and Maria Hager to the board of directors of the company following the resignation of Jeff Dennis, Randall Pilon and James Sardo as directors of the company. In addition, Hans Hager has been appointed president and chief executive officer of the company following the resignation of Mr. Dennis. John Gamble has resigned as chief financial officer and executive vice-president, special operations, of the company.

Since 1993, Mr. Katz has been the owner and operator of Sustainable Resources Management Inc., which provides sustainable development consulting. Prior to that, he held various positions with Ontario Hydro for 15 years. Mr. Katz has extensive experience in technological products and program evaluations for energy and building automation in both the institutional and the marketplace settings. His current sales, marketing and consulting activities include energy management, building automation, technology product assessments, sustainable green buildings, renewable energy systems, distributed generation and the competitive opportunities arising from the worldwide deregulation of utilities.

Mr. Holesh is a chartered accountant and turnaround professional, and has been involved in the operational side of turnarounds in excess of 20 years. During that time he has been involved with the manufacturing operations of public and private companies in Canada and the United States, and has also undertaken the transfer of production to low-cost-labour countries. Prior to his involvement in turnarounds, he practised as a receiver and manager.

Mr. de Klerk is a chartered accountant providing project management, controllership and senior financial management services for a variety of businesses. He is also a CPA in the United States.

Mrs. Hager co-founded SonnenEnergy GmbH, the company's main operating subsidiary, with Mr. Hager in 2004.

The company would like to thank Messrs. Dennis, Pilon, Sardo and Gamble for their contribution to the company during this past year.
