Amazing how Star has grown as part of the largest booth at the Dubai Airshow.....this has shown enourmous traction and the furture certainly looks bright as the star-shining on a clear bright night.

The EADS subsidiary also has been in touch with the French air accident investigation office (BEA). “Our system meets the BEA’s requirement for six-nautical-mile location precision anytime [even before an event triggers continuous transmission],” Fisher said.

Nice seems Mr Fisher has the right answers towards BEA's requirements!!!

Astrium Star has also been in contact with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), which may consider making such systems mandatory.

Now if we meet the requirements then a mandate by ICAO is next on the agenda......now that sounds phenominal!!!! Imagine how many airlines and aircraft will have to install this system, does anybody have an idea of the numbers this could require??
