Lori tells us Dec 17th this;
"During the past six months, the Directors and the Company's geological staff have reviewed results to date with respect to exploration programs conducted at the Tesoro Gold Project. Management believes that the results will support a small-scale narrow vein mining operation and the Board intends, subject to financing, to undertake the necessary steps to achieve this goal. "
Lori tells us 1 day before the AGM, Mar 26th, this;
"Mr. Krause has also concluded, through his investigations, that, in his view, the Tesoro Property is not currently economically viable to put into production due to the logistical hurdles, required capital costs, proximity to nearest water source and fundamentally the narrow vein nature of the Tesoro gold veins. The narrow vein nature, the amount of tonnes that can be mined per shift considering the mining costs per tonne, milling costs per tonne (contract milling vs. building a mill) and the potential gross tonnes of this deposit indicate that the Tesoro Gold Project is not economically viable. "
One of the several problems with this is that no new results were released to the public to show why this opinion has changed from being viable to perhaps not viable in 3 months. We all know that POG mostly likely will just keep going higher, and although one of the closest mills, Dynacor has temporarily suspended operations, this in all essence has no relevance on the viability of the Tesoro. I will also add here, that we have seen NR,s as far back as perhaps 2007, showing how they were gonna increase mining, at a time when the POG was almost 3 times less than it is today, and I am sure that inflation has not exceeded 300% since that time.
May I suggest a shareholder or two to call the company Monday, requesting the amount paid to Robert Krause for this "unqualified" opinion?
