Torch River Resources Ltd.: Termination on Nahmint Property Option Agreement

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Oct. 14, 2009) - Torch River Resources Ltd. ("Torch" or the "Corporation") (TSX VENTURE:TCR) (FRANKFURT:WNF) (PINK SHEETS:TORVF) wishes to announce that it has given notice under its Nahmint Property Option Agreement to terminate the Agreement as of 24 October, 2009. Torch has been unable to meet the exploration funding commitments of that Agreement due to financial constraints and current market conditions.

Torch also, with regret, wishes to announce the resignation of one of its founding directors, Mr. James Louie. Torch thanks Mr. Louie for his many years of dedicated service to the company and wishes him great success in his future pursuits.
