Trigon Drills Uranium in First Four Henry Mountains Drill Holes Thu Nov 8, 7:03 AM KELOWNA, BC, Nov. 8 /CNW/ - Trigon Uranium Corp. (TSX-V:TEL; "Trigon" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the results for the first four drill holes on its Henry Mountains project in southern Utah. All four holes intersected uranium mineralization, including one strongly mineralized hole. The Henry Mountains property is located immediately west of the Bullfrog and Tony M uranium deposits of Denison Mines Corp. and the Frank M uranium deposit of Uranium One Inc. The four drill holes intersected uranium mineralization in the lower unit of the Salt Wash sandstones of the Morrison formation. The stratigraphic location of the uranium mineralization is consistent with the location of mineralization in the neighbouring uranium deposits. Further, greenish sands and mudstones containing pyrite were observed in the lower Salt Wash sandstones. These indicate a chemically reduced environment, which is critical in the formation of sandstone uranium ores. The following table summarizes the results of the first four drill holes. Only those intervals exceeding 0.01% equivalent uranium are shown. Hole Depth to base Thickness Grade of mineralization Number (Feet) (Feet) (eU(3)O(8)%) HM07-03 1395.5 3.5 0.100 incl. 1394 0.5 0.221 HM07-01 1360 1.0 0.015 1370 1.0 0.097 1395 0.5 0.013 1408 0.5 0.011 HM07-04 1373 1.5 0.039 incl. 1374 1 0.050 In addition to the above, anomalous uranium mineralization at 10 times normal background levels was encountered in drill hole HM07-02. This hole intersected 12 feet of 0.005% eU(3)O(8) at a depth of 1,407 feet corresponding to the same stratigraphic location as the mineralization in the other three drill holes. The results to date support Trigon's belief that the known mineralized trends extend onto its Henry Mountains property. An analysis of historical data(1) from the Bullfrog deposits revealed that the distribution of mineralization in the Company's first four drill holes is consistent with the mineralization of these neighbouring deposits. Sidney Himmel, President and CEO of Trigon stated: "The Henry Mountains program is off to a very good start. We set out to prove with this program that uranium occurs on our property by testing for down-dip extensions of the known mineral trends. The presence of uranium on our property has now been confirmed." The current program's 10 drill holes are located in two target areas. Four holes totalling 6,080 feet have been completed in the first target area, which is located approximately 6,500 feet west of the Denison Mines Corp. property boundary. Holes in this area were drilled at a spacing of 250-600 feet. Drilling of the remaining six holes is ongoing in the second target area. This area is centered within 2,000 feet of Trigon's eastern property boundary on a projection of the Indian Bench-Copper Bench mineral trend. Drill holes in this area will be spaced approximately 750 feet apart on a fence perpendicular to the projected trend. The technical information in this news release has been reviewed by Mr. Stuart Havenstrite, CPG, Technical Advisor to the Company and a Qualified Person as defined in National Instrument 43-101. Drilling on Trigon's Henry Mountains property is carried out by Diversified Drilling LLC of Missoula, MT. Gamma logging for equivalent uranium grades is performed by Century Geophysical Corp. ("Century") of Tulsa, Oklahoma using a Century-built 9057 logging tool. The tool is calibrated for k-factor and deadtime using U.S. Department of Energy test pits. Century's Compu-Log software is used for calculation of equivalent uranium grades. (1) The historical data was summarized prior to the introduction of National Instrument 43-101 and therefore should not be depended upon by shareholders and is not depended upon by Trigon. Trigon has used this general historic information to assist with evaluation of broad geological conditions related to uranium mineralization in the Henry Mountains area. About Trigon Uranium Corp.
