Re: Sharesplitter + Hamelin Salary

posted on Sep 30, 07 04:04AM

Good morning sharesplitter and thanks for your comments. We can't comment on corporate communications prior to September 19 but we can assure you that information will be faster and more transparent with AGORACOM on board.

The best way to accomplish this is to make sure good questions are posted so that management can respond. Moreover, all shareholders have to remember that there will be times where business priorities have to rank ahead of all other matters, so there will be times when a perceived lack of information is actually attention to priorities. It happens with all public companies and we trust shareholders will actually appreciate this.

With shareholders and IR working together in a constructive fashion, we can achieve a fast, informative and fluid environment for the benefit of current and prospective UC investors.

Finally, I'd like to chime in on the comments about Richard Hamelin's salary. $120,000 is an extremely reasonable salary for a good CEO. In the case of Hamelin, I believe it is a bargain for shareholders.

Why?

Take a look at his bio on the UC management page. He is an industry veteran with substantial experience on both the operations and finance side of the business. Yet, after 34 years of experience, he is only making $120,000. I wouldn't accept that salary after 10 years of intensive experience, let alone 34 - and suspect many of you here would say the same thing.

I can also tell you that experienced Investor Relations Officers are now being offered between $100 - 150k in the resource sector, let alone CEO's.

Conclusion - Richard Hamelin is at the low end of the pay scale and, like any good CEO, has tied his fortune to the success of the Company. That is good news for shareholders and something that should be commended.

Regards,
George
