talked last night with the 'uc' guy about mcfaulds and the various companies. i am always impressed with jim's enthusiasm for his job and his explorations. his company, like all the rest of the companies are into exploration, not developement so if the right deal were to come along, i'm sure some serious talking would take place. certainly more drilling has to be completed and in jim's case, uc has an area they'd like to get at. hopefully some financing will be imminent and he can get down to getting some samples. someone mentioned the necessity of a 43-101 and he reiterated that the big companies don't 'need' a 43-101 to make their move as they decide what company they'd like to make an offer to. when they think the time is right, they'll move.

i did ask a few questions and jim fortunately believes there are no 'dumb' questions but i'm sure i got close on more than a few occasions.

i didn't realize that that core samples for chromite are all taken to hamilton. all other cores for other materials go to thunder bay.
those hand held guns are fabulous and accurate to 2%. there are 3 or so different ones used depending on what you're looking for. they would speed up assay time in the lab and even make the labs obsolete. the osc in their wisdom and slowness is reticent to ok their use.
as i mentioned, jim would like to get drilling for chromite, and that is all that matters now in the rof, chromite. and as all great presidents, he believes his land could hold an extraordinary amount of the stuff. i mentioned i was concerned about not's recent statement about everyone being competitors. he begged to differ with the term saying that all the companies want what is best for their company and for their shareholder, but that they are all in this together. it is such a fractured terrain that they have to stick together for the good of all. and if one company makes a deal, he believes other deals will follow, possibly very quickly. 'all for one and one for all' was something he mentioned several times. so competitors as perhaps we construed in not's sense as being out only for themselves, was not what he envisi oned. he certainly thought that watson, hoy, no vak and the likes wanted what was best for their companies but understood a bigger calling/picture.

we chatted about takeovers hostile and friendly and how certain scenarios might take place. i understand now why/how i was called with not's hostile takeover as all shareholders are to be made available, for a pretty hefty price, to the company making the hostile bid.
his 'blueberry' vibrated the entire 3 hours. not one call was from home to remember to get the milk. so please get the idea that lots of things are taking place to which we are not privy. lots

3 hours went by very quickly. when exploration is in your blood, time is irrelevant. and of course we're talking about astronomical $ values. all of the companies know that. the hardest sell appears to be the brokers who are slowly awaking to chromite !!!

i have tons of spq and a goodly number of not. i will not be selling a share of either. fwr, kwg, uc and fnc i do not own but should!!!!!! just don't have the $. i believe no one really knows the day that someone will come knocking, but someone will and a deal will probably be made with a 'lesser' candidate first. but when that day comes, the domino effect will happen.
