Yesterday I tried to buy VYTC between 4.8 and 5 through TDAmeritrade.

My order was blocked and I had to call Ameritrade.

I finally got through to Ameritrade last night (crazy market overwhelming the phones) and was informed that Ameritrade has implemented a list of stocks, mostly on the OTC that can only trade through brokers on the phone.l

They said it is for my protection to avert risk and protect them from fraud.

Needless to say, I am peeved about this.

My question to the board is - has any one else experienced such restrictions with other online trading platforms?

Ameritrade has also broken down on their accurate quote and data and that concerns me as well.

I do not want to wait for an hour on the phone to place an order.
