Stock Price

posted on Oct 21, 05 03:18PM
As we all know the stock price is a function of the company`s earnings, future earnings and debt. If all goes well WA should post 5 cents per share earnings for the year. At the closing price troday of 39 cents gives a PE of 8. I would like to think that a PE of atleast 10 would be more appropriate for this company based on futue potential and its retail customer base.

The only two reasonds I can think of are

1) The stock is being cleverly manipulated by shorters for what reason I cannot determine.

2) The possibility that Midland emergency phone may not be what it is made out to be. Since WA has a realtive high stake in Midlan ( I beleive over 20%) WA has to by accounting standards absorb its portion of any losses and for investors the potential lost of future income.

I hope at the next conference call the executive team can be specific about the status of Midland and the future of WA earnings.

I have been invested in WA now for over 2 years and am still positive that this will all work out. There are days when the company announces good news, the stock goes up one day and then suddenly goes down to a price lower than when the news was announced that makes me wonder.

Appreciate other investors comments
