The major holder of Lake Shore Gold is Hochshild who owns somewhere between 35 and 40% of the stock. Hochshild is one of the largest pure silver producers in the world and has a lot going for themselves. From what I read they want more of Lake Shore Gold. Not so sure how that all plays out.

They just bought more West Timmons who is merging with Lake Shore...see attached...
