Alix and Cloudbreak Provide Initial Results From White Gold Area, Yukon, and Announce Follow-Up Work on Gold Anomalies

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Sep 22, 2009 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX News Network) --

ALIX RESOURCES CORP. (TSX VENTURE: AIX)(FRANKFURT: 37N) and CLOUDBREAK RESOURCES LTD. (TSX VENTURE: CDB)(PINK SHEETS: CUDBF)(FRANKFURT: C6K) (The "Companies") are pleased to announce the results from the late-July soil sampling program on their Mount Stewart prospect in the Yukon Territory near the Underworld Resources (UW; TSXV) White Gold discovery. The Alix/Cloudbreak claims are adjacent to ground held by Underworld and six kilometers east and slightly north of Underworld's Golden Saddle discovery.

Reconnaissance soil lines were surveyed across the project area with samples collected every 50 meters on lines spaced 300 meters apart. The lines roughly paralleled the dominant trend of the geography while cross-cutting the dominant trend of the geology. A trend of several anomalies, apparently paralleling the mapped geology, was detected on two adjacent soil lines with analyses ranging up to 40 ppb Au. Geologic mapping and prospecting by Alix geologists found float and rubble from quartz veins in the area of the anomalies, although analyses of a limited number of samples from these returned no anomalous results.

A second phase of soil sampling has been completed at the Mount Stewart prospect to triple the sampling density to 50-meter centers on lines spaced 100 meters apart in the areas of the anomalies. Samples were collected from five new lines with the intentions of better delineating and hopefully expanding on the apparent 300 meters of apparent strike already identified by the anomalous samples. Five additional fractional claims have also been staked covering a 40-hectare area of open ground adjacent to the existing Alix/Cloudbreak claims.

Pending results of the follow-up soil sampling, the Companies intend on conducting a trenching program later this fall or in the spring.

A crew from Aurora Geosciences in Whitehorse has also been active in the White Gold area on the Alix/Cloudbreak block of approximately 162 Lucky claims and fractions, mostly in the Simmons Creek drainage and centered about 20 kilometers east and slightly north of the Golden Saddle discovery. To date over 750 soil samples from this area have been submitted for analyses and another roughly 300 have been collected and are awaiting submittal, completing the first phase of sampling on the Lucky claims.

After completion of the follow-up soil sampling at the Mount Stewart prospect, the Aurora crew will move onto the 25 Strike claims and the approximately 95 AU claims and fractions held by Alix and Cloudbreak, and hopefully complete first-pass soil sampling of those areas before freeze-up.

Work on the Alix/Cloudbreak ground is being directed by David Hedderly-Smith, Ph.D., P.G. He has done work in similarly aged rocks in east central Alaska, 100 kilometers to the northwest, off and on since the 1970s. Dr. Hedderly-Smith is a director of Alix and a Qualified Person as defined by N.I. 43-101, and has approved the information in this press release.
