To get rid of those pop-ups on Stockhouse you might want to try the Mozilla Firefox browser and get the free AdBlock Plus addon. They are all free and I find I like Firefox.
I run both Firefox and IE 7 on my computer and have had no problems. I am not a real expert at this but it does work for me.
