B2Gold's contractor employee dies in shooting

NOTICE OF FATAL INCIDENT AT B2GOLD CORP'S MASBATE GOLD PROJECT, PHILIPPINES

B2Gold Corp. has been notified by Kublai Khan Security Services (KKSS) with regard to the following incident involving two KKSS personnel who are employed at the Masbate gold project in the Philippines.

The Kublai Khan Security Services (KKSS), a security contractor of the Masbate gold project (MGP), informed B2Gold of a shooting incident at Aroroy, Masbate. On the evening of June 19, 2014, a security supervisor in the process of undertaking his routine duties entered into an altercation with another security employee resulting in the fatal shooting of the supervisor.

After KKSS's initial investigation, a suspect was turned over to the custody of the Aroroy police. A full investigation is being conducted into the matter.

KKSS has advised B2Gold additional information and updates will be provided as they become available.
