12:56 PM EDT, 09/20/2018 (MT Newswires) -- Balmoral Resources (BAR.TO) was up 6.9% from a 52-week low. after the company on Thursday said it acquired four potential new nickel-sulphide exploration properties in Quebec's Lac Rocher district where anomalies had been detected in previous geophysical surveys.

"The Rocher Ultramafic properties cover four ultramafic intrusions belonging to the intrusive suite which hosts the nearby Lac Rocher nickel-copper deposit," it said in a release. "Three of the four intrusions have never been drill tested and the fourth has only been tested by a single hole."

The company's shares were up $0.1 to $0.155 at last look on the Toronto Stock Exchange. The shares touched a 12-month low of $0.14 on Wednesday.
