VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 16, 2011) - China Gold International Resources Corp. Ltd. (TSX:CGG)(SEHK:2099) (the "Company") would like to announce that the Company has grown beyond and been retired from the S&P Small Cap and the Equity Small Cap Indexes due to the growth of and size of the market capitalization of the Company. The Company's market capital now exceeds 1.5 billion on average on a month to month basis which makes it too large for the small cap indexes. The Company remains in other index constituencies, most notably the S&P/TSX Composite and the S&P/TSX Global Gold Indexes.


The Company continues to deliver on its organic growth plan and will continue to update the market on developments at both of its mining operations Jiama and CSH. The Company expects to release a NI 43-101 compliant resource update at its CSH mine in the first quarter of 2012. The Company also expects to release a NI 43-101 compliant independent technical report that will describe further resource and production expansions at its Jiama Copper Gold Project also before the end of the year 2011.
