Cogitore Reports Best Ever Drill Hole at Scott Lake, Including 17.9m of 23.31% Zinc and 32.7m of 2.05% Copper and 6.57% Zinc
TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 1, 2008) - COGITORE Resources Inc. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:WOO) is pleased to report very exciting results from its wholly owned Scott Lake Property near Chibougamau, Quebec. Hole SC-34 intersected three mineralized stratigraphic horizons, including a new horizon that assayed a spectacular 23.31% zinc over 17.9 metres at a vertical depth of 400 metres, and 32.7 metres of 2.05% copper and 6.57% zinc which includes 13.4 metres of 3.73% copper and 4.54% zinc.

Upper Zinc Horizon

The first mineralized horizon in SC-34 was intersected over a core length of 17.9 metres starting at 408.6 metres down-the-hole. The interval consists of massive coarse grained sphalerite with lesser pyrite and various proportions of volcanic clasts and late dykes displacing massive sphalerite. Note: Intercepts reported above represent core lengths and true widths are unknown at this stage. Core angles measured from crude layering in massive sulphides or with volcanic contacts are anywhere from 50 degrees to 70 degrees. The density of all the samples was measured prior to assaying for metals. The averages shown in the above table represent weighted averages, taking into account both the core length and the density of each sample, thus ensuring a truly representative metal grade.

Geo. stated "In our October 9 press release we mentioned that our Scott Lake drill hole SC-30 represented the most significant find of copper-rich volcanogenic massive sulphides (VMS) in the Chibougamau area since the discovery of the Lemoine deposit in 1973. With this upper zone in SC-34 we now have the pleasure of announcing the most significant zinc mineralized interval ever reported from the Chibougamau area. However, we have many more interpretations to work out and drilling to do in order to outline and define the new mineralized zone, which appears to occur in an upper stratigraphic position."

West Lens Horizon

Massive and semi-massive sulphide mineralization correlating with the West Lens was intersected over a core length of 32.7 metres starting at 459.7 metres down-the-hole. The sulphides are is located along the Selco Horizon and represent a significant 200 metre extension of the West Lens relative to drill hole SC-30. This intersection also marks an important improvement in thickness updip from the nearest historic hole at depth (see attached Longitudinal Section of the Selco Horizon). Assays are tabled below:

The 32.7 metre interval tabled above is made up of two distinct zones, namely a relatively zinc-rich massive sulphide section up-interval followed by a copper-rich basal section of semi-massive and stringer sulphides. Dr. Riverin commented: "The combined massive and semi-massive sulphides starting at 459.7 metres represent at least 33 metres of continuous good grade zinc and copper mineralization that will add significantly to the first estimates of inferred mineral resources of the West Lens. These results further corroborate evidence of copper-rich VMS mineralization on our Scott Lake property. We are also very pleased to see elevated gold and silver values with the base metals, as this is the first time we have seen such combined precious metal content in a hole drilled at Scott Lake. Looking at the combined high grade copper assays obtained in holes SC-34 and SC-30 (Press release of October 9, 2008), we are truly encouraged about the ultimate mining potential of this portion of the West Lens."

Third mineralized zone

In addition to the above mineralized intervals, SC-34 intersected, from 680.8m to 686.7m, yet another massive sulphide zone, made up of 5.9 metres of massive pyrite and sphalerite. This intersection is correlated with the new massive sulphide lens discovered last September in SC-28, that assayed 10.8% zinc and 55.6 g/t silver over 3.1 metres (see press release of September 10, 2008). The intersection is located about 200 metres west and below hole SC-28 (see the attached longitudinal section of the North Horizon for the position of the Central Lens and of the piercing points of holes SC-28 and SC-34 on that horizon). Assays for this zone and the rest of the hole are pending and will be issued at a later date.

Work is carried out by the personnel of Cogitore Resources Inc., under the supervision of Gerald Riverin, PhD, P.Geo. He is a qualified person (as defined by National Instrument 43-101) and has more than 31 years of experience in mineral exploration.

The drill core from hole SC-34 was logged and marked up for assay at the Company's secure facility in Chibougamau, Quebec. Drill core for assay was sawn in half. Half of the core was placed in sample bags which were shipped to ALS Chemex in Val d'Or, PQ for specific gravity measurement and sample preparation. Pulps were flown to Vancouver, B.C. for analysis with appropriate standards, duplicates and replicates used for quality control purposes. The other half of the core is retained for future reference.

Cogitore explores for VMS-type deposits in areas where such deposits have been found and mined before. Exploring in such areas is preferred because of existing infrastructure, knowledgeable local workforces and broad public support for mining. Collectively, these are major competitive advantages.
