Lightweight, multi-material vehicles require bonding technologies to handle the diverse material mix, and two-component polyurethane adhesives are well-suited for this task.
Bruce Benda, vice president, Automotive and Transportation, Bayer MaterialScience LLC, shared his insights about the trends for lightweight materials and bonding technologies in his presentation "Material Considerations and Making Them Stick in Lightweighting Technologies," during the 2nd annual Plastics in Lightweight Vehicles conference.
