I tend to think the buy out will come in at about $5.00 with shares in spinco. The one thing that keeps going through my mind is that Senor Echevarria would not be pouring in this kind of dough without some kind of decent pay off in the short term. He also doesn't have to settle for rubbish or pressure tactics either, so I think that Teck will treat him very deferentially when it comes down to negotiations. When mutually-satisfactory negotations are completed, he and Don Lindsay will likely shake hands and have a cognac and fine cigar I would imagine. That's usually how the big boys do it. It would be ill-advised for Teck to mess him around. He would take the deal elsewhere in short order in my opinion.
