What is hard, is that management rarely gives a straight answer, and there have been disappointments and delays along the way the last few years. At what point does a person start asking, do they really know what they are doing?
I don't like that the agreement keeps being emphasized as interpretive. All legal agreements need interpretation of course, but why keep emphasizing this aspect unless this is what you want shareholders to take away? We're left reading between the lines and I don't think the legal agreements hold that much water, at least not how Elmer has talked about them since the Christmas Eve emergency conference call.
CUU really is a test of patience. Always, waiting, waiting, waiting, and even the BFS didn't really clear up expectations of what a ballpark for a buyout might be. Teck doesn't seem to be in a hurry either, if they've really had much of the BFS material since last August. Will be interesting to see if Teck really has some news for us this week or next ... or the week after that.
