My understanding is the last day for tax loss selling is the 24th, Since you are supposed to give 3 days for the order to clear.

"Investors must also conclude their tax-loss selling by the end of the year. Given that trade settlements take three days, you should do your selling by Dec. 24 for Canadian investments and Dec. 26 for U.S. securities so that the trade closes in the 2002 tax year."
