It is not clear from the instructions provided for the Claims Process how this should work.

What is clear is that whoever has a claim, if that claim is not received by the Monitor by the bar date, the claimant will give up any claim rights s/he may have against the company.

The Claim Process document indicates that one can call the Monitor with any questions on the process. So, you may try that if you wish.

As far as I am concerned, I will file the claim no matter what.  And if for wathever reason the claim is not confirmed (this is the step the Monitor and the Claims Officer must follow with every legitimate claim, per the court order) I will contest its disallowance, which is also allowed / required by the Court order.
