08:33 AM EDT, 07/02/2019 (MT Newswires) -- Endeavour Mining (EDV.TO) on Tuesday exploration drilling at the Kari Pump, Kari West and Kari Center targets near its Hounde mine in Burkina Faso showed significant gold mineralization.

The company said 85% of holes drilled in the targets showed gold mineralization, with best results including 17.62 grams per tonne of gold over 2.5 meters at Kari Center and 5.14 gpt over 12.6 meters at Kari West.

Endeavour expects to drill a further 90,000 meters of core at its assets in the West African country before year end.

The company's shares closed up $0.39 to $21.35 Friday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
