Gerald McConnell, Q.C.

President & Chief Executive Officer

Gerald McConnell has over 20 years experience in the mining sector. Mr. McConnell founded NovaGold Resources Inc., a Toronto Stock Exchange listed Company (NG.TSX) in 1984 and served as its President and Chief Executive Officer until 1998 when he chose to devote his full time and attention to Etruscan. Mr. McConnell has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Etruscan since June 1990. Under Mr. McConnell's leadership, Etruscan has gained the respect of its competitors in Africa for both the technical successes in exploration discoveries and mine development and for the Company's progressive policies with respect to improving social conditions in the countries where it operates. In 2003, Mr. McConnell received the Paul Harris Award from Rotary International in recognition of Etruscan's humanitarian contributions to health and education initiatives in Africa. Mr. McConnell is a graduate of Dalhousie University Law School and he received his Queen's Counsel designation in 1986.

Joel D. Schneyer

Director, Chair Audit Committee

Joel D. Schneyer has been a director of Etruscan since May 2004. He is founder and President of Mercantile Resource Finance, Inc., an advisory firm to the natural resource sector with a specialty in project financing of precious metals projects. He has acted as financial and strategic planning advisor and expert witness to VSE, TSX, and hedge fund operatives, as well as law firms and foreign governments. Prior to founding Mercantile, Mr. Schneyer was Manager of Derivative Finance Americas for Barclays Bank PLC, and a Senior Analyst - New Business and Strategic Planning Group, at Billiton Metals. He earned a Masters in Geology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1984 and a Masters in Mineral Economics from the Colorado School of Mines in 1988. Mr. Schneyer is also a director of Globex Mining Enterprises Inc. (TSX), and Sandspring Resources Ltd. (TSX-V).

Rick Van Nieuwenhuyse

Director, Chair Compensation Committee

Rick Van Nieuwenhuyse has been a director of Etruscan since May 1999 and was President and Chief Operating Officer of Etruscan from December 1997 to May 1999. Mr. Van Nieuwenhuyse is President and Chief Executive Officer of NovaGold Resources Inc. Mr. Van Nieuwenhuyse was previously associated with Placer Dome Inc. from 1990 to 1998. He was Vice-President Exploration Africa, Eurasia of Placer Dome Exploration Inc., a subsidiary of Placer Dome Inc., from January 1994 to November 1997. He served in the position of Vice-President and General Manager of Placer Kazakhstan Limited from June 1995 to December 1995, and served in the position of Alaska District Manager of Placer Dome U.S. Inc. from January 1990 to December 1995, both of which companies are subsidiaries of Placer Dome Inc. Mr. Van Nieuwenhuyse is also a director of Alexco Resources Corp. (TSX-V) and Inter-Citic Minerals Inc. (TSX-V).

William L. Young, Ph.D.

Director

William L. Young is a geological consultant and was a Vice President of Etruscan from June 1990 to May 1999 and has been a director of Etruscan since June 1990. Dr. Young was President and a director of Northumberland Mines Limited from 1974 to 1987 and a director of NovaGold Resources Inc. from 1988 to 2001. He earned a Ph.D. in Geological Sciences in 1953 and was an Associate Professor of Geology at Carleton University. Dr. Young has extensive exploration experience in North America as well as in Africa, Australia and Turkey.

Walt Tyler

Director

Walt Tyler has been a director of Etruscan since June 1993, and has fulfilled a similar capacity for a number of private natural resource and investment companies in the United States. Mr. Tyler is President of TPI Properties, LLC a private natural resource company focused on oil and gas as well as coal bed methane exploration. He earned his degree in geological engineering in 1957 at the Colorado School of Mines and has since gained 40 years of exploration experience internationally. Mr. Tyler was previously a director and officer of Emex Corporation, a U.S. public company focused on gas technologies, fuel cell technologies and natural resource development. In December 2002, Emex Corporation filed for voluntary bankruptcy and proceeded to liquidate its assets pursuant to Chapter 7 of the United States Bankruptcy Code.

Eddie Lui

Director

Eddie Lui has been a director of Etruscan since May 1995. He is a business consultant in finance, energy resources and international trade residing in Hong Kong. He is the former honourary Vice Counsel for the Republic of Senegal and is presently involved in e-business and telecommunications in USA and UK.

Glenn Holmes, CA

Vice President Finance, Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer

Glenn Holmes joined NovaGold Resource Inc. in 1987 as Corporate Controller and later was appointed Vice President, Finance. Mr. Holmes was Corporate Controller for Etruscan from 1990 to 1997 and was appointed Vice President, Finance in 1997. Mr. Holmes holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Saint Mary's University and received his chartered accountant designation in 1988. He is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nova Scotia.

Donald Burton BSc, MSc

Vice President Corporate Development & Chief Operating Officer

Don Burton has been the Chief Operating Officer of Etruscan since 2000 and was appointed Vice President Corporate Development in 2007. He joined Etruscan in 1990 as Exploration Manager and was responsible for setting up the Company's operations in West Africa. He held the position of Vice President Explorations from 1997 to 2007. Mr. Burton was Exploration Manager and later Vice President Exploration with NovaGold Resources Inc. during the period 1987-1998. Prior to this he had worked throughout northern Canada in gold, uranium and base metal exploration and as a Research Scientist for the Province of New Brunswick. In addition to his technical and administrative responsibilities, Mr. Burton monitors the company's social initiatives in Africa. Mr. Burton holds a BSc (Honours) in Earth Sciences from the University of Waterloo (1978) and a MSc. in Geology from the University of New Brunswick (1984) and is a Fellow of the Geological Association of Canada.

Robert Harris, P. Eng.

Vice President Operations

Robert Harris has over 18 years of professional experience in the resource sector holding various industry and government positions prior to joining Etruscan. Mr. Harris served as the Company's Technical Director from August 1997 to September 2003. In October 2003, Mr. Harris assumed the position of Vice President, Operations and is responsible for the management of the Company's development and production projects. Mr. Harris holds a BSc (Honours) and a Master's degree in chemical engineering from the University of New Brunswick and a Diploma in Marketing and International Business from Saint Mary's University.

Werner Claessens

Vice President Exploration

Werner Claessens has over 20 years of experience in gold exploration throughout West Africa and has been involved in the discovery of three of the larger gold deposits in West Africa; Sadiola Hill and Morila in Mali and Samira Hill in Niger. Mr. Claessens joined Etruscan as Director of Exploration for West Africa in 1997 and was appointed Vice President Exploration in 2007. He holds a License in geological sciences from the Katholicke Universiteir Leuven, Belgium.

Janice Stairs, LLB, MBA

Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary

Prior to joining Etruscan full time in July 2004, Ms. Stairs was a partner with the law firm of Patterson Palmer located in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Ms. Stairs practiced law in private practice for 19 years specializing in corporate finance, securities and resource-related issues for private and public companies. Ms. Stairs holds a law degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia and a Masters in Business Administration from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario.
