The Warro gas field well is certainly not a challenging as anything in the Mako Trough, but this gives an idea of the timelines involved for flow testing.

The well is approx the same depth as our F1 will be.

Transerv Energy Ltd spudded the Warro 3 appraisal well in Western Australia on January 30, 2008 and the well is drilling ahead at a measured depth of 967m.

The well will take 35 days to reach its total depth of 4,375m, followed by a further 35 to 40 days to complete the fracture stimulation program on the target gas zones to establish flow rates.

If the evaluation program is successful, it will confirm the commercial viability of the Warro Gas Field, expected to yield 2.1Tcf of recoverable gas for domestic consumption in Western Australia.
