AGORACOM NEWS FLASH

Dear Agoracom Family,

I want to thank all of you for your patience with us over the past 48 hours and apologize for what was admittedly a botched launch of our new site.

As you can see, we have reverted back to the previous version of the site while we address multiple forum functionality flaws that inexplicably made their way into the launch.

To this end:

1.We have identified 8 fundamental but easily fixable flaws that will be corrected in the coming week, so that you can continue to use the forums exactly as you've been accustomed to.

2.Additionally we will also be implementing a couple of design improvements to "tighten up" the look and feel of the forums.

Have a great Sunday, especially those of you like me that are celebrating Orthodox Easter ... As well as those of you who are also like me and mourning another Maple Leafs Game 7 exit ... Ugggh!

Sincerely,

George et al

Message: Batista article

Sculpin,

Frankly am a bit surprised that readers here don't quite get what this means. Batista may be smarting because OSX didn't do better - well, as a company it would have had to invent itself...and to produce drill platforms from spec, this is minimum 5 years - for a buy-in at $500. a share? I looked at this at the time - but have a little bit of knowledge about what it takes to build a ship and walked away. (They would be better off simply leasing from Trans-Ocean).

However, given interest in things golden today, I should think that to raise 1.2 to 1.5 billion for "a company interested in gold mining in Colombia" would be relatively easy...particularly as we can quite imagine what specific area is of interest...given that Batista already has 20% of VEN - and whatever he may already have of GWY and/or GSL (and which you and I have been trying to winkle out to no avail - but no matter).

The real point here is that, out of nowhere, a brand new company (AUX) wants to be a player at the mid to major producer level - that might rattle a few of the more established major's chains, wouldn't you think? Batista did make his fortune with another gold mine - so he knows the drill. I reckon that this can only be good for us plebs.
