TORONTO, Sept. 13, 2012 /CNW/ - Gold World Resources Inc. (TSXV: GDW) or (the "Company"). Management is pleased to announce that Mr. R. Allan Doherty P. Geo. has consented to stand as nominee for director of the Company, with special responsibilities for the development of the Mount Anderson Yukon Project, at the upcoming Annual Meeting.

Mr. Doherty resides in Whitehorse, has been engaged in mineral exploration and project management in the Yukon continuously since 1981 and is the owner of Aurum Geological Consultants Inc, a geological consulting firm that has been in business in the Yukon since 1984. He holds a BSc. (Honours) in Geology from the University of New Brunswick (1977) and has been a registered Professional Geologist APEGBC since 1993.

His geological experience includes 30 years of mineral exploration and geological mapping of British Columbia , Newfoundland, Labrador and in the Yukon, including over parts of Map area 105 D, including 105D-3 (Fenwick Creek), the location of the Company's main land holdings in the Yukon. He was project geologist during the discovery and definition of the Mount Skukum ore body in 1981/ 82 and also worked with Shawn Ryan and Underworld Resources during the initial early exploration phases at White Gold and was the logging geologist who noted the first visible gold in drill core.

His International experience includes consulting work in China, Brazil, the Philippines, and Alaska and Nevada. He has authored or co-authored numerous NI 43-101 reports. He is currently V.P. Exploration and a director with Stina Resources Ltd., and an independent director for Rockhaven Resources Ltd.

Mr. Doherty has also been very active in the industry serving as President of the Yukon Chamber of Mines in 1987-88 and 1993. He was a director of the PDAC 1996-2005, and active board member for the Yukon Minerals Advisory Board. He organized and taught the Yukon Chamber of mines basic and advanced prospecting courses from 1988 to 2010.
