This is one the sources I would look to to see whether gold futures will proceed apace in the bull market. Gold futures prices had not seen backwardation as you would have had, notably in oil or copper.

For the most part, commodities have had their heyday in backwardation, with the exception of gold prices.

The business cycle for gold bullion is not yet over.
