via Stockwatch.com - GBRIF Trade

A 'trade' in GBRIF of 127k shares occurred on Dec. 22, 2016.  If these shares actually represented options in Golden Band, such as each option represents 1000 actual shares, then this would represent roughly 45% of the outstanding float that had not been retracted and cancelled, but extinguished in the sense of the IFRS accounting manual, that these shares are meant to be converted to preferred's.(and also consolidated 30:1)

That this falls on a date preceding the last taxable day of the fiscal calendar year 2016 makes the timing of this trade all the more important.

Perhaps what might expect is a listing under GBN.PR.A?

 via Stockwatch.com - RMX

The counterpoint to GBN is the comparable RMX which started trading and is looking to roll back the shares 162:1.  Was this also not a pro-forma insolvency?  They would not have seperated the capital raise from the body corporate since this is a CCAA filing, while GBN went under the BIA. Perhaps if this was not a real bankruptcy, but a vehicle for meeting the cost of capital with the asset in a defeasement, they must have skipped a step or two.

OTOH, if thus was a real bankruptcy ostensibly to reorganize the company, then this makes the GBN.V insovency story look all the more credible, as if it were solely a bankruptcy and winding up.

via Northern Prospector - Annual Mining & Exploration Review 2016-2017

Northern Prospector goes through exploration and development highlights in Saskatchewan, discusses uranium and diamonds.  The Pikoo diamond prospect gets some coverage.  Gold us a matter only of the Seabee mine and exploration in the vicinity.  No mention at all of the prospects by the Jolu Mill and the Star Lake mine.

What caught my eye was the interest in Westwind Aviation, where the article states they now have a base in La Ronge.  Last September Westwind was supposedly under a safety review.

All if the industry subcontractors are advertising in this magazine, which makes an interesting search method, seeing which orojects they might be involved in.

via CTV News - Construction Under Way Of Two New Cargo Facilities At Regina Airport.

CTV News makes a blatant misrepresentation of why cargo facilites are being expanded.

"Two large cargo facilities are under construction at the Regina airport.

The $20 million project will be located next to Westwind Aviation.

The steel structure has been erected for the first of two building, which will house Air Canada cargo and several airline caterers.

The second warehouse will be built for WestJet cargo and the Regina Airport Authority.

The new buildings will also provide storage space for luggage carts and aircraft towing equipment."

Ground Service Equipment is never stowed in a cargo facility, as they have allocated storage outdoors on the ramp, and they carry fuel.  Notable to the discussion is how much this adds to provincial infrastructure improvements, such as the transmission line, and Westwind Aviation now flying scheduled flights into La Ronge.  The new facilities at the Regina airport are immediately beside Westwind.

Certainly the Province anticipates that mining sector growth is in the cards.

Article from last February.
