Golden Dawn Minerals Inc. (the "Company") (TSX-V: GOM) announced today that Mr. David Dobson resigned as President and CEO of the Company on June 20th, 2008. Mr. Dobson feels that his private C.A practice does not allow him the time required to continue with his former role as President. Mr. Dobson will continue as a Director and member of the Audit Committee of Golden Dawn.

Mr. Bill McWilliam, a Director of Golden Dawn, has newly been appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. McWilliam has spent 27 years in the mining and exploration industry in various senior and founding positions. Mr. McWilliam co-founded Netidentity.com, Argentine Frontier Resources Inc., Cascadero Copper Corp., and Salta Exploraciones SA.

Ms. Palmer Black, Director, states, "The management of Golden Dawn Minerals is now represented by a high-level of mining experience. Bill's tenure with Canaccord Capital as a mining analyst provides the Company a wealth of knowledge, from finance to geology, that the Golden Dawn team is excited to work with. "
