VANCOUVER, Feb. 1 /CNW/ - GOLDEN DAWN MINERALS INC.(TSXV- GOM, FRANKFURT
3G8 ) is pleased to announce that the Company has resumed its first
phase 2,500m (16-hole) diamond drilling program on its Greenwood
Project comprised of the Boundary, Wild Rose and Tam O'Shanter
Properties. These properties are contiguous and cover 3,000 ha of
highly prospective gold-copper mineralized terrain. In November to
December 2010, 732 meters were drilled in 6 holes and assay results
were published (see news release of January. 24, 2011). In order to
extend the major zone confirmed in the initial six holes, hole 11WR07
has been collared about 400 m northwest of hole 10WR06. The current
series of holes will continue to test for higher grades of gold/copper
within the 2,000 x200 x 200 m potential low grade bulk tonnage zone
that encompasses several higher grade massive sulphide veins. This
prospective zone has been intersected by 14 historic drill holes and
the 6 holes drilled recently.

The reader is cautioned that historical drilling results are being
confirmed by current drilling, and such historical results cannot be
relied upon until reconfirmed. There are no known mineral resources on
the property, and there can be no assurance that any mineral resources
will be discovered on the properties, and if discovered there is no
assurance that any mineralization may be economically extracted.

The information in this release has been reviewed on behalf of the
Company by consultants Dr. Stewart A Jackson, P. Geol. and Mike
Dufresne, M.Sc., P.Geol., Qualified Persons. The program is being
supervised by Mike Dufresne of APEX Geosciences Ltd.

ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF

GOLDEN DAWN MINERALS INC.
