Red Lake (well actually Balmertown) is built on a gold deposit. There are pictures, and I don't have them, but you might be able to find them, of the street closed off because they were drilling in the middle of the road. Can you imagine having your coffee in the morning and looking out your front window to a drill in the middle of your street? There was talk of moving the town there as well.
