I looked at the raw data available on the GNH web site, and indeed there were a lot more 1m samples with VG and high grade beyond 300 meters.

Specifically, from 333 to 339 meters (as noted in the press release) wich containted large amount of Visible Gold in the core.

Of course 335 to 336 meters had VG and a relatively low grade, so VG is no guanratee of a high Au concentration in that section.

Of course, a sample size of n=1 doesn't make for a good statistical sample. :-)
