Message: Interesting close 9/20/19

For the first time "this century" AUMN ucharacteristically closed strong Friday.

After treading water at US$.25 all morning, it began to climb above .25 towards .26 around noon.

More importantly, with 10 minutes to go, it consistently upticked through the close with 17,665 shs trading at .2664 in the final minute before a 30,702 block took it to .279 on the close.  Altogether, the stock closed +.026 on decent volume of 409K and interestingly, the stock closed up C$.05 in Toronto, all on the close at C$.38.

So, what does this mean?  I have several possible theories.

One, it could merely have tracked the reversal of gold/silver on Friday, but how often have we seen the share price completely ignore the metals?

Two, it could be a PM fund or ETF investing deposited $ at the end of day.  However, this sector has rallied for months and we've never seen closing price action like this.  Contrarily, we have only witnessed takedowns on close during this PM bull market (a contradicting phenomenon which management can never comprehend or do anything about like challenge or interrogate the routinely dishonest market maker).

Third, the HCW Institutional client who has ignorantly dumped stock (durning this PM Bull market) around his purchase price of .26 (keeping the free warrants and free lower-priced old warrants, so as not to have any skin in the game) may have exhausted his inventory, removing that overhang.

If the third rationale is correct, then we should witness a continuation of price strength next week.  Afterall, the stock was trading at US$.33 the day before the foolish offering took it to .22 three months ago while gold and silver have soared throughout that period.

Fourth, someone "suspects" that AUMN has an alternative solution for raising capital through the sale of Valardena and wants to acquire stock before any announcement.  (Personally, I've never understood why Hecla doesn't buy it?)
