During the latest short reporting period, only one small (500 shares) short transaction was done on HPQ. The shorters have also bought back 51005 shares, and they are left with only 51970 accumulated short shares. Needless to say that the shorters and, at the same time, the bashers who have almost all disappeared, are not causing a downward pressure on the share price anymore. HPQ has several major catalysts about to come to fruition and, without the shorter’s downward pressure, we can expect the share price to leap up. At this point, I believe that waiting on the side line could rapidly become ill advised.
